Rain and moisture
The glass opening and bonding surfaces must stay controlled during preparation and installation. A covered carport, garage with enough working room, or other suitable shelter can keep an appointment workable when rain arrives. A tight garage may not provide enough clearance.
Heat and humidity
Adhesive systems specify working and cure conditions. High heat can also make the vehicle interior and exposed body surfaces unsafe to handle. The technician uses the day's conditions when giving safe drive-away guidance.
Wind and the work area
Strong wind can carry dust and debris toward prepared bonding surfaces. The parking area should be reasonably level, away from moving traffic, and large enough for doors, tools, and safe movement around the vehicle.
How to prepare
- Choose the most sheltered practical parking location.
- Move the vehicle before the appointment if access may become blocked.
- Remove valuables from the dash, seats, and cargo area near the glass.
- Keep your phone available in case conditions require a location or schedule adjustment.
